About Lifestyle Charters

Lifestyle Charters is an owner-run charter business at Gladesville Bridge Marina in Drummoyne. The owners operate two well-known harbour boats themselves, the 65-foot flybridge cruiser Enigma for up to 41 guests and Felix for 25, and their fleet page also lists more than 30 other vessels they book on behalf of owners. Those range from motor yachts for 30 to event boats such as Karisma 2 for 150 and Luna for 193, plus superyachts for groups that want the full treatment. Inspections of Enigma and Felix are free. The most affordable options sit at $800 an hour: Seas the Day takes 30 guests with a three-hour minimum in the quieter months, Onsite fits 28 and John Oxley holds 53. Felix and State of the Art start at $850, Enigma at $990, and superyachts such as Chaos and Belle run from $2,300 to $2,800 an hour. Beyond standard cruises, the team puts together packages for New Year's Eve, Vivid, Australia Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, plus whale watching, weddings and charters with live musicians or laser clay pigeon shooting. The hire rate covers the boat, fuel and marine crew. Waitstaff, wharf bookings, catering, drinks, BYO fees and extra activities such as DJs, private chefs, mixologists, wine tastings and swimming toys are charged separately, and a security deposit applies that varies by boat. Pick-ups in Manly are possible for an added fee, though some boats cannot leave that area with more than 12 guests on board. There are no refunds for wet weather. It suits hosts after a polished, catered day on a well-kept yacht rather than a budget party boat.

Hire is charged by the hour and varies by boat and season. The cheapest vessels are $800 an hour: Seas the Day (30 guests, three-hour minimum in low season, $950 in high season), Onsite (28 guests, $800 to $900, four-hour minimum) and John Oxley (53 guests). Felix (25 guests) is $850 to $950 an hour, Enigma (41 guests) $990 to $1,300, and superyachts such as Chaos ($2,300 to $2,750) and Belle ($2,800 to $3,000) sit at the top. Waitstaff, wharf fees, catering, beverages, BYO fees and activities are extra, and a security deposit applies.

How We Work

Choose a boat from the fleet or send an enquiry with your guest numbers, date and preferred time of day. A 50% deposit secures the vessel, and then Sam from the team goes through wharves, menus and drinks with you, along with extras such as swimming toys, wine tastings, laser clay shooting, DJs or musicians. You receive an updated confirmation once those details are set. The balance invoice is emailed 21 days before the charter and is due within seven days. Most boats can be inspected beforehand, subject to availability.

How do we lock in a boat with Lifestyle Charters?

Once you have chosen a vessel, a 50% deposit secures the date and time. You then receive a confirmation and work through wharves, menus, drinks and any extras with the team, and the balance invoice arrives 21 days out, payable within seven days.

What is included in the hourly hire price?

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Most boats allow BYO food and drink for a fee that covers plates, cutlery, glassware and serving utensils, though you need to bring your own ice. Many boats are also licensed, so drinks packages are available if you would rather not bring your own.

Can we be picked up in Manly?

Yes, for an added fee. Depending on a boat's survey, it may not be allowed to leave Manly and nearby beaches and bays with more than 12 guests aboard, so the team checks this when matching your group to a vessel.

Can we decorate the boat or stay overnight?

Many boats offer early access for decorating, often for a surcharge, subject to availability. Overnight packages can also be arranged on suitable vessels, and the team can suggest which boats offer them.
