Sydney Harbour Exclusive is a luxury charter and event agency that has been running events on Sydney Harbour since 2010, trading under Exclusive Getaway Pty Ltd with its head office in Darlinghurst. It represents a fleet of around 75 vessels, from small luxury yachts for a handful of guests to superyachts for up to 110 and function boats that take up to 950. Its event managers plan the whole charter, and the corporate list includes brands such as Qantas, Google and Salesforce. It can also arrange on-land venues, helicopter flights, hotels and car hire around a cruise. For parties, the small luxury yachts are the entry point: Platinum from $550 to $795 an hour, Seaduction from $600, Birchgrove (16 guests) from $660 and Coco (23 guests) from $690. Mid-size motor yachts such as Ghost I and Lady Pamela run from about $1,350 to $2,250 an hour, and function boats such as Aussie Magic (200 guests) and Eclipse (240 guests) start around $975 to $1,050 an hour. Hens and bucks packages start from $110 per person with BYO, or $145 per person all-inclusive. Every vessel is fully crewed, and each has its own catering and drinks menus, with BYO allowed on selected boats. The team can add DJs, live music, photographers, themed styling and decorations through preferred suppliers, a Santa visit at Christmas, and branded signage and AV for corporate events. Most private charters run for about four hours, and wharf fees, catering and extras are quoted on top of the hourly rate. It suits hosts after a polished, fully managed event rather than the cheapest boat on the water.

Function boats include Aussie Magic (200 guests) from $975 to $1,100 an hour and Eclipse (240 guests) from $1,050 to $1,250. Motor yachts such as Ghost I run from $1,350 to $1,750 an hour and Lady Pamela from $1,850 to $2,250, while superyachts are commonly $2,000 to $5,000 an hour. How We Work

The team starts by learning what you are celebrating, who is coming and the style you want, then shortlists suitable vessels with their rates, packages and menus. An event manager then plans the details with you: timing and run sheet, catering and drinks, styling, entertainment, AV and branding for corporate events, and the pick-up wharf. All costs, including wharf and BYO fees, are set out in the quote before you confirm. Guests should arrive 15 minutes before boarding, and the professional crew handles the cruise itself, with routes around the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and harbour beaches. Payment can be made by EFT, credit card or cash.

How far in advance should we book?

For hens and bucks parties they recommend at least three months ahead for Saturdays and peak dates. For Christmas parties, book at least six to eight weeks ahead and ideally by early November, as it is the busiest season on the harbour.

What else can they organise besides the boat?

DJs, live bands and musicians, photographers, themed decorations and florals, cocktail bars and entertainment, plus corporate extras like branded signage, screens and presentation AV. They can also arrange on-land venues, helicopter flights, hotels and luxury car hire.
