About Vijay Bhasin Music
Vijay Bhasin Music, known as VBM, is a Sydney entertainment company working out of Bella Vista in the Hills District. The team supplies a live Bollywood band, Indian DJs, live singers and musicians, dhol players and MCs, and it handles the planning and coordination of the entertainment so the host deals with one supplier rather than several. Its roots are in South Asian celebrations, with Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Tamil, Telugu and fusion weddings all part of the workload. The DJs specialise in Bollywood and Punjabi music and mix it with bhangra, Hindi and English tracks, reading the room to shift from dinner ambience to a packed dance floor. Dhol players can run a baraat or grand entrance, bilingual MCs keep speeches and performances on time, and sitar and tabla players are available for ceremonies, cocktail hours and corporate dinners, either solo or as a duo or trio. A photo booth, dry ice and cold spark effects can be added, and each of these services can be booked on its own or as part of a larger package. Beyond weddings, engagements, sangeet and mehndi nights, VBM works on birthdays, corporate galas, award nights, product launches, Christmas parties, networking and university functions. An in-house production crew brings PA systems, wireless microphones, stage monitors, DMX lighting and LED screens, and times cues to the event schedule. Pricing is quoted on request, and the team suggests enquiring six to twelve months ahead for peak wedding dates.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of entertainment does Vijay Bhasin Music provide?
A live Bollywood band, Indian DJs, live singers and musicians, dhol players, bilingual MCs, sitar and tabla players and a photo booth, plus in-house sound and lighting production.
Can I book a dhol player or an MC without the full package?
Yes. The dhol, the MC, a live singer or the photo booth can each be hired separately, or combined with the DJ and band into one entertainment package.
Do they only play Indian music?
Bollywood and Punjabi music is the speciality, but the DJs blend in bhangra, Hindi, English and international tracks so mixed crowds and different age groups are catered for.
Which parts of Sydney do they cover?
The team travels across Sydney, from Western Sydney, Parramatta and Blacktown out to Liverpool, the Hills District, the Eastern Suburbs, the North Shore and city venues, and goes interstate or overseas for destination weddings.
How far ahead should I book?
Peak wedding season is often booked six to twelve months in advance, so the team recommends getting in touch as early as possible, particularly for Saturday dates.
