About Party Bands
Party Bands is a live music booking agency based in Drummoyne, founded in 2011 by school friends Andy Caryofyllis and Rob Molnar. The pair have played in bands together since their school days and in 1993 formed Jellybean Jam, a cover band that has since performed more than 3,800 shows in Australia and overseas. Demand for that band grew beyond what one act could handle, so they started Party Bands to place other professional acts at the events they could not take. The roster is organised by format. Full bands include party and dance cover acts such as Atomic, Mesa Groove, One Hit Wonders, Party Anthem and Whooshka, while the showband list includes Jellybean Jam, the Bad 80s Band and High Rollers for events that want costumes and a big stage performance. Solo and duo acts such as AM2PM, Dusk and XO Duo suit cocktail hours and smaller rooms, and DJ-and-band combinations cover guests who want both. Partybands acts have played at many of Sydney's key venues, from corporate gala dinners and awards nights to private milestone parties and weddings. Andy and Rob handle bookings directly, recommending acts to suit the audience, venue and budget, and pricing is quoted according to the act and line-up chosen.
