About Luxe Strings
Luxe Strings is a Sydney string ensemble started by Hanna Oblikov, a classically trained cellist. She puts together the players for each booking, drawing on a pool of experienced string musicians, and the group covers weddings, corporate functions, brand launches, private parties and studio recording sessions. For weddings the options range from a solo cello or violin playing with a track, through acoustic duos, trios and the traditional string quartet, up to the Luxe Orchestra, which can play fully acoustic or switch to tracks for the entry, signing and exit. A duo suits micro-weddings of under 20 guests, and for ceremonies of around 70 or more the team suggests bringing in AV so the sound carries. Reception choices include a quartet for background music while guests mingle, a jazz group, electric strings to open the dancing, and DJs who can be paired with a live singer, sax or electric string player. Arrangements run from classical pieces to pop covers written for strings. Corporate clients most often book the acoustic quartet for canapés and galas, the Luxe Electrified Duo for launch moments and dinner breaks, or the orchestra when the brief calls for something big. The group has played car launches, fashion and jewellery events and televised performances, and Luxe Strings also books the Dan Fontaine Orchestra for clients after an old Hollywood feel. Players come dressed to the client's colour brief from the company wardrobe and use tidy iPad stands. Every booking is quoted after an enquiry through the website.

Frequently asked questions
What line-ups can Luxe Strings provide?
Solo cello or violin with a track, acoustic duos and trios, a string quartet, an electric violin and cello duo, and the Luxe Orchestra, which starts at eight players and can grow for bigger events.
Do they play pop songs as well as classical music?
Yes. Their pop arrangements are written for string quartet, and soloists can play contemporary songs over a backing track, alongside classical repertoire for ceremonies and dinners.
Will we need a sound system?
Small weddings can go fully acoustic, and the soloists can bring a small PA. For ceremonies of about 70 guests or more, or for electric and track-based acts, professional AV is recommended.
Can the musicians match our colour scheme?
Usually, yes. The players choose outfits from a large designer wardrobe and can accommodate most colour requests, so let the team know your palette when you enquire.
Do they perform at corporate events?
Yes. Corporate work includes product launches, galas, canapé receptions and dinner entertainment, with options from a quartet to electric strings, strings with a DJ or a full orchestra.
