About Creative Booth
Creative Booth belongs to Pennie and Ray, a Newcastle-born couple who married close to home and came away wishing they had a record of the antics their guests got up to. The booth business was their answer: a spot at the party where people can be ridiculous and take the memories home. Ray manages the tech side, Pennie handles bookings and planning, and extra attendants join them for bigger events around Newcastle. Three booths are on offer. The Party Booth is slim and run by guests themselves, needs no backdrop so it can point straight at the dance floor, and texts or emails the photos, GIFs and Boomerangs to guests. Choose the Open Booth and an attendant comes too, with a premium backdrop, props, a photo template designed for you or picked from the range, and a private online gallery. On the 360 Booth, small groups stand on a compact platform while the camera orbits them, and the slow-motion clip, set to a song you pick, is shared by SMS or QR code. Every booking covers the whole event for as long as five hours, so the booth is there from the first drink to the last song rather than for a short window. Optional extras run from a greenery wall and disco balls to an audio guest book and a memory album. Weddings make up much of their work, but birthdays, Christmas parties and corporate nights in Newcastle book them too. Couples say Pennie gets in touch with the venue about set-up beforehand, so the booth is ready before guests walk in. They also cover Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley.
