About Island Cruze
Island Cruze is a skippered boat hire business on Lake Macquarie with one vessel, the Island Cruzer, kept at Toronto Public Wharf at the northern end of the lake. The skipper and crew run the boat, so the group just turns up with its food and drinks and spends the cruise exploring the bays, sand islands and shoreline, where dolphins are often spotted. The boat carries up to 38 guests with two crew, or 36 when the booking adds two more staff, for example for catering. It is set up across an upper deck, the main deck and a below-deck lounge. The main deck has a gas BBQ, and the galley has a fridge with a small freezer, sink, oven and stovetop, along with crockery and cutlery. There are two toilets and two showers, a swim deck at the stern for swimming when the skipper says it is safe, and a dinghy. The sound system runs two subwoofers and eight speakers and connects by Bluetooth, AUX, USB or Apple CarPlay, and there is also a TV. Everything to eat and drink is BYO. There is a fridge and several eskies on board, and groups may need to bring ice, which the skipper will confirm before the day. Cleaning is included, though the boat should be left tidy and leftovers taken home. Cruises run as three-hour daytime or evening trips or a six-hour day, and custom times can be arranged. Short cruises start and finish at the same jetty, while full-day groups can use several pick-up and drop-off points around the lake, from Toronto and Belmont to Swansea, Speers Point and Wangi Wangi.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can come on Island Cruzer?
The boat is licensed for 40 people in total. That usually means 38 guests with two crew, or 36 guests when four crew are needed, for example when caterers come along.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, everything is BYO. There is a fridge, a small freezer, eskies, a galley with oven and stovetop, and a gas BBQ on the main deck. Ask the skipper whether to bring ice for the eskies.
Where does the boat pick up from?
The boat is moored at Toronto Public Wharf, the preferred pick-up point. Other public jetties around the lake can be used, including Belmont, Swansea, Speers Point, Wangi Wangi and Rathmines. Three-hour cruises start and finish at the same jetty.
Can we swim from the boat?
Yes, from the swim deck at the back when the skipper decides conditions are safe. Nobody swims while the boat is moving, so bring towels and something warm for evening cruises.
Is there a bond or cleaning fee?
There is no bond, but any damage caused by guests must be paid for. A $400 deposit secures the date and is not refundable. Cleaning is included unless the boat is left exceptionally dirty.

John was fantastic from the get go. We couldn't have had a better night. He was extremely accommodating and friendly to all of our attendees. I highly recommend Cruze 'N" Snooze.
