About All Event Cruises
All Event Cruises is a Newcastle charter company built around one boat, Calmer, an 87-foot vessel fitted out for functions rather than sightseeing. Every cruise boards at the Queens Wharf terminal in the city centre and spends its time on the harbour, so guests get the working port, the foreshore and the city skyline from the water. Inside there are two enclosed dining levels, each with its own licensed bar, and stairs lead up to an open sky deck. The layout suits a sit-down meal for around 250 people or a standing party of up to 470. The boat has air conditioning, bathrooms, a working kitchen and access for guests with a disability, and its sound system takes music from your own device, with microphones for speeches. Many groups also bring in a DJ or live band. Catering and drinks are handled on board. Food is bought separately from the charter fee, with a range of menus to choose from, and the bars run beverage packages under responsible service rules. The events team can also help with decorations and room set-up. Private charters cover weddings, milestone birthdays, school formals, hens and bucks groups, staff Christmas parties, conferences and client events, along with less usual bookings such as exhibitions and film shoots. On weekends the same boat runs a ticketed nightclub cruise open to the public. Swimming from the boat is not allowed and pets cannot come aboard, and deposits are not refundable once paid.

Where do All Event Cruises charters depart from?
Every cruise boards at the Queens Wharf terminal in central Newcastle and travels around the harbour. Plan to be at the wharf about 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.
How many guests can Calmer take?
For a private event the boat holds up to 470 people for a cocktail-style party, or about 250 for a seated meal across the dining levels.
Is food included in the charter?
Not automatically. Catering is chosen and paid for separately, from the boat's own food menus, and drinks are sold through the licensed bars or as beverage packages. Your package decides what is included.
Can guests swim off the boat?
No. Swimming from Calmer is not permitted on any cruise, so this is a harbour function boat rather than a swim-and-anchor charter.
Can we play our own music or have speeches?
Yes. The sound system connects to your own music device and microphones are on board for speeches. You can also arrange a DJ or live musicians for the cruise.
