About Toorak Hotel

The Toorak Hotel is a corner pub at 505 Malvern Road in Hawksburn Village, Toorak, first opened in 1854 and trading seven days from midday. The kitchen moves between pub staples and contemporary Australian dishes, and the pub runs birthdays, engagement parties, team lunches, conferences and end-of-year functions across several private and semi-private rooms. The route 72 tram runs along Malvern Road. The Jackson Room on the first floor is the party space: a lounge-style room with a dance floor, LCD screen, fireplace, private bar and its own bathrooms, and views towards the city skyline, holding 80 cocktail style or 36 seated. Downstairs, the Dining Room sits away from the public bar with booth seating and its own bar, seating up to 80. Next to it, the art-deco Cocktail Bar has oversized windows and a screen and takes 40 standing. The Private Dining Room seats 20 at one long table or 30 across three, and the Mezzanine above the public bar suits 30 standing in a semi-private setting. Seated events choose a shared set menu: entrée and pizza, entrée and a main, or entrée, shared mains and dessert. Cocktail events pick a canapé package for two to four or four to six hours, or order canapés by the piece, from croquettes and arancini to bao, sliders and grazing bowls. Cocktails, spritzes and a wine list sit alongside tap beer and soft drinks. Minimum spends apply to the private rooms and vary by space and season; a 20% deposit confirms the booking, and the chefs cater for most dietary needs with notice.
