About Republica St Kilda Beach
Republica is a restaurant and bar inside the St Kilda Sea Baths on Jacka Boulevard, set back from the beach and looking over Port Phillip Bay. It trades seven days, with live music in the courtyard on weekends, and hosts birthdays, engagements, corporate events and Christmas parties. There are several bookable spaces. The Dining Room sits in the middle of the venue with bay views from every table and seats 50 to 70, while the semi-private Wine Room has a floor-to-ceiling wine wall and seats up to 38. The Lounge has a fireplace and windows onto the courtyard, holding 25 to 30 for drinks or up to 16 seated. The Courtyard Verandah sits beside the live music stage, with shade, heaters and water views, and takes 30 to 100 for a cocktail party. For a big celebration you can take the whole restaurant, with room for 100 to 200 standing or 70 to 120 seated. Smaller groups of 8 to 20 can also book a courtyard table and pay their own way. The kitchen offers shared set menus, plated mains, canapé packages, grazing and pizza, with dietary needs handled when you give notice. Drinks run on beverage packages or a list you build with the events team, covering local wines, spritzes, beers and cocktails. Between October and April, work groups can add two hours of coached beach volleyball on the sand before the party. Send an enquiry to book and the event coordinators will confirm spaces and menus.

The food at Republica was excellent. The fish and chips were the best I've ever had—the chips were perfectly crispy, and the fish batter was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The prices were very reasonable…
