Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Locals know the Sandbelt Club Hotel, at South and Bignell Roads, for its 200-seat bistro and sports bar; for milestone birthdays it keeps two private rooms. One suits a dinner for the family, the other a full party with a stage. Two rooms, two kinds of birthday:

The Eaglemont Room, at the back of the hotel: 80 seated or 120 for cocktails, with its own fully stocked bar.
Southside, the sports bar in the middle of the building: 180 seated or 300 standing, with a large private bar.
A stage with sound and lighting (charged separately) and a dance floor in Southside.
An outdoor area attached to Southside for guests who want fresh air.
A projector and screen in both rooms for a birthday photo slideshow.

A two-course buffet for 40 or more starts from $35 per person, and every package includes a private bar, table linen and a security guard.

Platters of finger food for a stand-up party.
A buffet of two or three courses for 40 or more.
A plated set menu for a seated dinner.
Cocktail packages bundle five hours of room hire, staff, platters and a bar tab.
