About Face Creations
Face Creations is the business of Josephine, a Melbourne face painter and balloon artist who works from Caulfield North and travels to every part of Melbourne. She has been painting for more than 16 years, at children's birthdays as well as corporate and social events, and is professionally accredited. Josephine does not work from a board of set designs. Children can ask for whatever they like – a reindeer, a panda, Stitch, a fairy or a princess crown – or leave it to her to make something up on the spot. Arm designs such as mermaids and bumblebees are an option for anyone who would rather not have a painted face. She uses professional-quality paints that have been tested to be safe, hygienic and hypoallergenic, and they wash off easily. Balloon twisting is the other half of the business. Her balloon work runs from ladybugs and fish to unicorn horns and ears and full balloon dolls, so a party can mix painted faces with something to carry home. As a guide, Josephine gets through about 12 to 15 faces an hour, depending on the children's ages and the designs they choose. The minimum booking is 1.5 hours for $230, and two hours costs $300. She holds a Working with Children Check and public liability cover, and she is used to helping nervous or shy children feel comfortable before their first face paint. Bookings and quotes go through the online form, and she replies within 24 hours.
