Feel Good Events is an event styling and planning company working from a warehouse in Ferntree Gully. Owner Marcus Prentice first worked events from behind the DJ decks three decades ago, and the team puts its tally at over 9,000 events of every size. Their approach looks past decor alone: layout, lighting colour, where the bar sits against the dance floor and how guests move through a room all feed into the design. Most clients come for styling. The team works out the look you want, recommends what suits the venue and budget, then plans how the key areas will come together. Because the company owns a big inventory, the products come from its own warehouse: event furniture, lighting and special effects, fabric draping and backdrops, dance floors and staging, props and theming, and florals and centrepieces. Past jobs include chiffon and velvet backdrops with warm uplighting, festoon-lit receptions, LED bars and ceremony aisles lined with padded chairs. There are four ways in. Styling design shapes the visual direction; planning covers floor plans, supplier coordination and running sheets; full-service hire suits clients who already know what they want; and a standalone Event Assessment reviews existing plans. Nothing is collected from the warehouse – the crew delivers, installs and packs down every item.
