About Your Event Essentials
Your Event Essentials is a family-run event styling and décor hire business based in Bundoora, working across Melbourne for weddings, school formals, corporate dinners, baby showers and first birthdays. The team has spent around twenty years in party hire and styling, and its work centres on turning ordinary function rooms and halls into finished, cohesive spaces. The core of the service is the table and the room: tablecloths and runners, chair covers with sashes in more than 100 colours, glass vases, candles, fresh or artificial florals and tall or low centrepieces chosen to suit the ceiling height. Beyond the tables, they supply ceremony aisle décor, arbours and arches, plinths, signage stands in acrylic, timber or metal, balloon garlands, themed photo backdrops and styled cake tables with plinths and stands. A styling booking starts with the concept – theme, palette and the look of the venue – and the team then sources the pieces, installs everything before guests arrive and removes it all afterwards, so hosts and families do no lifting. They work regularly in reception centres, waterfront rooms in Docklands, church halls and community halls, and they can help committees plan a school formal from theme through to table settings. Themes they have styled include masquerade, starry night, Hollywood glamour and Great Gatsby formals, as well as soft pastel baby showers and storybook first birthdays. How many sash colours can we choose from?
There are more than 100 sash colours to pair with white or black chair covers, which makes it easy to match school colours, a wedding palette or a company's branding.
Do they set up and pack down?
Yes. The team installs and styles the décor at the venue before the event and comes back to pack everything down afterwards, so nobody in the family or committee has to lift a thing.
Can they help if our venue does not allow open flames?
Yes. They suggest flameless LED candles, lanterns, string lights, uplighting and mirrored surfaces, and recommend checking whether enclosed candles in tall glass are allowed by the venue first.
Do they style school formals?
Yes. Formals are a regular job, with themes such as masquerade, starry night and Hollywood glamour, school-colour sashes, table settings and centrepieces sized so they don't block views of speeches.
