About Urban Antidote
Urban Antidote is a floral design studio in Carlton run by Anastasia Botica, who left a career in law to work with flowers and later studied floristry at McQueens in London. The studio's look is modern, playful and full of colour – think sculptural calla lilies, trailing anthuriums, orchids and crinkled ribbon rather than a traditional posy. For weddings and elopements, every design starts with a custom proposal. After an initial chat, the team builds a moodboard showing your palette and chosen seasonal blooms, then confirms the details at a site visit or online meeting. Bouquets, ceremony pieces, reception centrepieces and installations are all delivered and styled on the day, and the team can also pack everything down or move ceremony florals across to the reception for an extra fee. Corporate work is a big part of the studio. Urban Antidote designs floral gifting stations, branded backdrops, showroom displays and stage pieces for product launches, conferences, gala dinners, fundraisers and VIP lunches, and handles bump-in and bump-out with the venue. Hanging arrangements and large statement pieces are a specialty. The studio works Tuesday to Saturday and replies to enquiries within three business days. A 30% deposit secures your date, with the balance due two weeks before the event. For weddings in peak season (September to April), the team suggests booking nine to twelve months ahead; corporate florals usually need four to eight weeks' notice.

The wedding minimum spend starts at $3,000. The studio says most couples who want personal florals, a ceremony and a full reception set-up allocate around $7,000 to $10,000, and designs are tailored to your budget.
Does Urban Antidote deliver and set up the flowers?
Yes. Weddings include delivery and styling of every bouquet, arrangement and installation across Melbourne, and the team can also pack down. Design, labour and delivery fees are itemised in your quote.
Can ceremony flowers be reused at the reception?
Yes – many ceremony pieces can be moved and restyled at the reception. If you'd like the team to do the move, a fee covers staff and logistics, based on the timing between the two.
Does Urban Antidote do corporate event florals?
Yes. The studio designs florals for product launches, brand activations, conferences, gala dinners and client entertaining, including large sculptural installations, and coordinates delivery and set-up with your venue.
How far ahead should we book?
