Kate is a qualified interior designer as well as a qualified florist, and she plans arrangements with the whole space in mind – the room, the tables, the lighting and how guests will move through it. She has been creating wedding flowers for Melbourne couples for more than twenty-five years. The bespoke wedding service covers bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes and corsages, ceremony flowers, floral arches and aisle arrangements, reception table pieces and larger installations. Only a small number of weddings are taken on each season. After an enquiry, Kate holds a short consultation, usually over Zoom, and a personalised proposal follows, typically within two days. Once the date is secured the palette, varieties and quantities are refined, with final details confirmed in the weeks before the wedding. On the day the team prepares, delivers and installs every piece, can move ceremony flowers through to the reception where it suits, and returns to collect hired items. Vases, ceremony structures, candles and other styling pieces are available, with partner suppliers covering anything not held in-house. Couples planning a smaller celebration can instead order ready-designed bouquets and wedding party flowers online. Beyond weddings, the studio supplies businesses with event centrepieces, branded arrangements and corporate gifting, and makes wrist corsages for school formals.
