Birthday Party Venues in Carlton

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

A Carlton birthday can go two very different ways. Prince Alfred, the corner pub at 191 Grattan Street, turns its whole upstairs into a party floor with a rooftop, dance floor and DJ booth. On Queensberry Street, The Lincoln keeps a separate private room in a Victorian shopfront for a seated dinner.

Which Carlton room fits which birthday:

A 21st with dancing: Prince Alfred's Upstairs Exclusive holds 250 cocktail-style with its own bar, bathrooms and private rooftop. From $32 per person.
A long table for family: Private Dining Room @ The Lincoln seats up to 30, seven days a week. From $2,500 minimum spend.
Something in between: the Top Bar at Prince Alfred takes 80 standing or 40 seated, with indoor and rooftop space.
A quieter downstairs option: Prince Alfred's dining room seats 40.
The whole building: hiring all of Prince Alfred lifts capacity to 500.

Prince Alfred's spaces are heated and cooled, have disabled access, and include use of the pool table.

Prince Alfred serves canapés by the platter, sliders and bao, a grazing table and a BBQ package with burger, sausage or barramundi add-ons.
Prince Alfred also sells cakes through its function pack.
At The Lincoln, every function eats a share-style set menu, from classics to a seafood platter and Scotch fillet.
