About WOOHAH
WOOHAH is a technical production company that began in Melbourne more than 25 years ago, set up to bring the city better AV gear and better service. Today it works from a 2,000 square metre warehouse in Braeside, with a team of designers, engineers, technicians and project managers who look after events from a small AGM through to arena shows. The hire range is broad. LED screens are a specialty, with large stocks of touring LED panels for stages, set pieces and outdoor sites, plus high-output projectors with automated alignment. Audio comes from d&b audiotechnik, NEXO and RCF speaker systems mixed on Yamaha and Allen & Heath consoles, while the lighting rig includes Ayrton, Clay Paky and Astera fixtures controlled from grandMA desks. Camera chains, switching and Disguise or Resolume media servers handle image magnification and broadcast. For product launches and brand activations, the team can add scenic builds, special effects and content made by its own motion designers. Hybrid conferences and livestreams are another strength, and an in-house development team builds event apps, registration and guest lists that link to the show. Clients choose between dry hire, where they collect the equipment, and full service, where a production manager and crew design, install and operate the whole setup. Engineering drawings and rigging calculations are done in-house. The company has supplied LED screens at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for over a decade and has worked on the Melbourne Royal Show and the St Kilda Festival.

Can we hire the equipment without a crew?
Yes. WOOHAH offers dry hire as well as full service rental. Either way you have access to the same designers and technical staff, and a full service job comes with a production manager who oversees it from planning to pack-down.

Can WOOHAH stream or broadcast our conference?
Yes. The team runs livestreams and hybrid events with camera chains and live switching, and its own developers build event apps, online registration and guest lists that connect attendees in the room and online.
