About Blue Vinyl
Blue Vinyl is a covers band from the Central Coast that works mostly at weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. The repertoire runs across five decades, from classic rock and Motown through soul ballads to current pop and R&B dance tracks, and the band reworks each set list to match the guests in front of them. The line-up changes with the job. An acoustic duo suits a ceremony, a cocktail hour or a smaller room where you want live music without a full stage. The four-piece and five-piece bring drums, bass and the bigger sound that fills a reception dance floor, and those two options include stage lighting. A wedding can use both: the duo during the vows and canapés, then the full band once the speeches are over. The band also likes learning a first-dance song when a couple asks for one. PA comes with every package, and a curated playlist plays through it during breaks, though you can supply your own instead. Space and power needs depend on the configuration, so the band talks through the venue when quoting. They have played receptions around the Coast as well as weddings much further away, and add travel and accommodation to the quote when a venue is some distance from home.

Frequently asked questions
Can Blue Vinyl cover both our ceremony and reception?
Yes. A common set-up is the acoustic duo for the ceremony and pre-dinner drinks, followed by the full band for the reception and dancing.
How does the duo compare with the full band?
The duo is a stripped-back acoustic option for ceremonies, canapés or small rooms. The four and five-piece line-ups bring a bigger sound for packed dance floors.
Will the band learn our first-dance song?
They are happy to. Mention the song when you enquire and they will learn it so the moment feels personal on the day.
Do we need to hire a PA or lights?
No. A professional PA is part of every package, and the four-piece and five-piece line-ups also bring their own stage lighting.
Does the band travel beyond the Central Coast?
Yes, they travel for weddings and events across the state and beyond. Travel and any accommodation costs are included in the quote for distant venues.
