Birthday Party Venues in the Upper Yarra

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Turning 50 among working vines is an option in the Upper Yarra. Elmswood Estate sits on Monbulk-Seville Road in Seville, one of the towns the Warburton Highway passes as it follows the upper Yarra River, and its 25 acres of vines fall away below the function buildings.

The estate hosts birthdays and anniversaries alongside its weddings and company events, so a 50th or 60th gets the same glass-walled Pavilion, terrace and in-house kitchen.

How a birthday can use the estate:

Dinner for 120 in the Pavilion, still leaving space to dance
A cocktail party for up to 200 guests in the same glass-walled room
Sunset toasts and pre-dinner drinks on the covered Terrace
Photos and a breather on the elevated Deck above the vine rows
Heating and air-conditioning for a winter or summer date, plus wheelchair access

Elmswood Estate's published guide starts from $210 per person for weddings, and birthday groups can ask for a tailored quote. Guests park free on site.

Roving canapés and platters for a stand-up crowd
Plated or shared main courses for a sit-down celebration, followed by dessert
Elmswood's own wines poured alongside beer, with spirits optional
Catering and event coordination handled by the estate's own team
