About Gerringong Bowlo
Gerringong Bowlo has been the town's bowling club since locals founded it in 1959, and it sits on Pacific Avenue at Werri Beach, close to Tasman Drive and the Kiama Coast Walk. It has two greens, the Drury-Parker Green and the Keith Darby Green, each named after a member who helped build the club, and tables with umbrellas spread across the lawn beside them. Inside are the Werri Waves Bistro, a coffee spot called The Dairy, a bar, and a fully covered kids' playground. Barefoot bowls costs $15 a person. That covers a set of bowls for each player, use of the green, and optional coaching from staff for anyone who wants a few pointers before the first end. It suits complete beginners as well as people who've played before, which makes it an easy pick for birthdays, work get-togethers and catch-ups with visiting family. Book through the club's online booking system or call the club on (02) 4234 1414. For bigger celebrations, the functions team can hire out indoor and outdoor spaces privately or semi-privately, and can build barefoot bowls into anything from a casual afternoon to a sit-down dinner. Catering comes from Werri Waves Bistro by Symeon & Co, with platter menus, canapés and set menus in the events pack. The bistro mixes Mediterranean flavours with pub classics such as steaks, seafood, pizzas, burgers and a Sunday roast, and serves lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 5pm to 8.30pm every day. The club opens at 10am daily, closing at 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Staff are absolutely kind and friendly. There’s a grandma who helps visitors a lot, she handed us a bag to carry foods by using her own bag (cuz the store doesn’t have one) and she is so nice to receive guests!
