How Dance Classes Actually Work

Hens groups from across south-west Sydney have a studio set up for them on Castlereagh Street in Liverpool. Wanderlust Pole Studio is a pole and aerial fitness studio whose instructors teach all body types and fitness levels and put confidence on a par with strength.

The 90-minute hens party, step by step:

Arrival: a glass of sparkling for each guest
The lesson: the group picks pole dancing, lap dance or burlesque, and the instructors teach some easy moves and a trick or two
The show: the instructors perform a pole routine of their own that brings the bride-to-be into the act
Dressing up: playful costumes and props are supplied for everyone
The finish: time at the end for photos and video

Party slots are Friday at 9.30pm and Saturday from 3pm, from $45 per person, and birthdays, anniversaries and friends' nights out can book the identical format.

Eight-week terms, with beginners starting in pole tricks or pole routine classes
Aerial courses on lyra and sling
