About Milk & Honey Photography
Milk & Honey Photography is a small family business based in The Carton Factory on John Street, Leichhardt. It is owned by photographers Anni Payne and Matthew Duchesne, a married couple who opened the studio in 1996 and have spent the decades since photographing weddings, christenings, family portraits, business people and parties across Sydney. Every event booking is photographed by one of the two owners rather than an associate. For parties, their approach is quiet and observational. The photographer moves around the room without directing the day, catching guests as they talk, laugh and react, then steps in when you want structured shots of family groupings or important guests. Their blog shows the kind of celebrations they are asked to cover: a mermaid-themed fifth birthday with a visiting mermaid, a second birthday decorated entirely in strawberries, a first birthday that began with family portraits in the garden, and a client's 50th where Matthew restaged photos from her wedding. Office parties are also part of the mix. Anni likes to fold a short portrait session with the birthday child into the party coverage. The party package is priced at $990 including GST. It covers two hours at your venue and at least 100 high-resolution images, delivered in an online gallery that guests can view and download. As a keepsake, the studio adds a linen pocket holding 20 printed 5x7 images it has selected from the day. Longer celebrations can add hours at $330 each, with another 100 or more images per hour. The studio suits families who want natural, unposed party photos from experienced photographers they will meet in person beforehand.

Yes. Coverage is mostly unobtrusive and candid, but the photographer will also take any family combinations and VIP group shots you ask for.
Can guests get copies of the photos?
The online gallery can be shared with anyone you choose, and your guests can download images from it for their own use.
