About La Lente Photography
La Lente is the photography business of Paul D'Ambra, who works from Epping in Sydney's north-west. Paul spent years in marketing before turning a lifelong hobby into a freelance photography career in 2016. His subjects range widely, from classic cars and pets to food and business shoots, but parties and family occasions make up a large part of the portfolio, and the style he brings to them is relaxed and candid rather than lined-up and formal. The party service covers birthdays of every age, from first birthdays to 21sts, 40ths and 50ths, along with engagement parties, graduation celebrations, anniversaries, baby showers, bridal showers, kitchen teas, hens and bucks nights, christenings, baptisms and Christmas parties. Paul usually turns up before the start so he can catch guests arriving, then works through the speeches, games, cake cutting and group shots, with portraits of guests and family along the way. Every image is edited and supplied as a high-resolution download ready for printing or social media. An unusual extra is an online gallery with a built-in shop, so guests can buy downloads or lab prints delivered anywhere in Australia, with the proceeds going to a charity or towards the cost of the party. Prices are published and include GST. The Basic package is one hour at one location with at least 20 photos from $195, Deluxe is two hours with at least 40 photos from $345, and Premium is three hours with at least 80 photos and extra styling from $495. Longer coverage is quoted. La Lente works seven days across Sydney and regularly travels to the Central and South Coast, with travel added to the quote.
