About Bennelong Event Hire
Bennelong Event Hire works out of a warehouse at 70F Percy Street in Auburn and supplies marquees, furniture, tableware and styling pieces to events across Sydney. The company launched in mid-2020, although the team behind it has close to three decades in the industry between them, with work on the Sydney 2000 Olympics, CHOGM, the Rugby World Cup, the Commonwealth Games and the Australian Open among their credits. The work splits three ways: corporate events and brand launches, weddings, and private events in homes, including the small gatherings the team calls micro events. The marquee range covers clear roof and white roof pavilions, the curved roof Sable structures and a design called The Palais, all available in several sizes. Floors, doors, window walls and interior dressing can be added, and roofs can be lined or printed to a custom design. Beyond the structure, the hire catalogue runs to chairs, stools and lounges, tables and bars, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, silverware, kitchen and service accessories, antique pieces and decor, so a marquee can be fitted out through one supplier. Bennelong is the preferred provider of RIEDEL glassware in NSW, and linen printed with company or guest names is one of the custom touches offered. Quotes are issued on request and hold for thirty days, and a hire is confirmed in writing before stock is committed. Equipment is delivered to site, and the hirer is asked to have someone present to receive and check it, and to sort out access, ground conditions and venue approvals beforehand. All stock remains the property of the company through the hire, and anything lost or damaged is charged at current replacement rate. Cancellation charges begin at 20 per cent from fourteen days out.

What can Bennelong Event Hire supply besides the marquee itself?
The same order can take in floors, doors and window walls and interior dressing, then chairs, stools, lounges, bars and tables, and on to crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, silverware, kitchen and service accessories and decor. Linen can be custom printed with names or branding.
How far ahead should I book?
No cut-off is published, but a booking is only held once a quote has been accepted in writing, and quotes lapse after thirty days. Cancellation charges start at 20 per cent from fourteen days before delivery, which gives a sense of when a date is treated as committed, so popular dates are worth confirming early.
How much does it cost?
Prices are not published on the site. Every event is quoted individually because marquee size, fit-out, quantities, hire period and delivery all change the figure. Quotes come with a reference number and are valid for thirty days from the date of issue.
Do they deliver across Sydney?
Yes. Stock goes out from the Auburn warehouse to event sites across Sydney, including private homes, gardens and venues. Someone needs to be on site to receive and sign for the delivery, otherwise the order is treated as delivered in full and in good order.
What happens if something is damaged or goes missing?
Lost, stolen or damaged items are charged at current market replacement rate, and repairable items at a repair rate. Candles must sit in holders rather than directly on furniture, nothing is to be glued, taped or stapled to hire stock, and crockery, cutlery and glassware come back free of food.
