About Walkers Party Hire
Walkers Hire has been renting out marquees and party equipment in Sydney for more than half a century. Its marquees are German-made Hoecker structures that come in widths from 3m through to 12m and in white, clear and all-black finishes, including a clear marquee with black trim. The crew installs every one, pegging on grass or using weights on pavers, concrete, tiles and decking, and in parks that forbid pegging. A signature trick is the pool flooring system, which covers a swimming pool so a marquee can be put up over the top and the whole backyard becomes party space. Marquees can be finished with black ply, woodgrain or deluxe timber-look floors or black carpet tiles, fairy and festoon lighting, draping, staging and dance floors. Alongside those, Walkers hires tables, chairs, light-up glow furniture, bars, heaters, market umbrellas, picket fences, barriers, linen, glassware, plates and cutlery. Their party gallery shows the kind of set-up that suits a backyard: a 6m by 6m marquee with clear walls and cocktail tables for a 21st, or a 6m by 9m clear marquee for a waterfront party. Deliveries for weekend events usually go out on Thursday or Friday and come back on Monday or Tuesday, and one charge covers a hire period of two to three days. There is no bond, but a credit card is held against loss or damage. All orders run from the Peakhurst warehouse, which also takes weekday collections, and an in-house stylist there can help with ideas. Walkers covers all of Sydney and travels further afield for larger jobs.

What sizes and styles of marquee are available?
Marquees come in widths of 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 8m, 10m and 12m in white, clear or all black, with other sizes on request. They are German Hoecker structures installed by the Walkers crew.
Can they put a marquee over my pool?
Yes. Walkers has a pool flooring system that covers the pool with a flat, stable surface, and the marquee is installed on top. It adds room for guests, dining or dancing in a smaller backyard.
How much does a marquee cost to hire?
Marquee prices are not published online. The quote depends on the size, flooring, lighting and site, plus delivery, which varies with location, access and timing. Weekday deliveries tend to cost less than weekend ones.
How long is the hire and is there a bond?
One charge covers a hire of two to three days, usually delivered Thursday or Friday and collected Monday or Tuesday for a weekend party. There is no bond; a credit card is kept on file and only charged for loss or damage.
