About Camden Hire Events
Camden Hire Events works out of a yard on Exchange Parade at Narellan, in Sydney's Macarthur district. It is a family-owned business of more than 30 years that established its events division in 1988 and has kept adding to the product list since, so one company can supply the marquee, the tables and chairs underneath it, the lighting, the heating and the kitchen gear behind the bar. Jobs range from a backyard gathering to a wedding, a corporate function or a full community show. The marquee range is the backbone. Hoecker structures come in 3m x 3m, 6m x 9m, 10m x 6m and 12m x 6m; they use no internal poles or external guy ropes, carry a high wind rating and can sit on grass or concrete. Pagodas run from 3m x 3m to 6m x 6m for a peaked-roof look, quick shades cover the smaller jobs in 3m x 3m and 6m x 3m, and there are fete stalls for market-style events. Around the marquees sit ten catalogue categories: catering, event infrastructure, event lighting, furniture, heating and cooling, marquees, party and event toilets, party accessories, site security and sound. Every item in the online catalogue shows its own rental rate, so a list can be priced before you pick up the phone. Children's chairs are $1.21 and slotted black or white chairs $2.64; cross-back and white chiavari chairs are $9.35; round and trestle tables run $13.20 to $24.20; wine barrels and barrel coffee tables are $55; a rustic or vintage 2.4m bar is $187.
