About Penrith Party Hire
Penrith Party Hire has spent more than 20 years supplying parties, weddings and community events from its warehouse on Coombes Drive in Penrith. It is one of the few marquee companies that lists its prices by size online. Peg and pole marquees, which need grass and about two metres of clearance around them for ropes, start with a 3.6m by 5.5m or a 4.6m by 4.6m tent and run up to 9m by 21m. A cheaper B Grade white range covers 6m by 6m to 9m by 15m, and wedding marquees in Baytex Electron fabric come in 6m, 9m and 12m widths with optional silk linings. For hard surfaces there are aluminium free-standing marquees with no centre poles or ropes, from a 3m square up to 10m by 30m, weighted when they are not on grass. Clear or white walls can be added to most marquees, and the team can supply staging, flooring and lighting to go inside. Beyond marquees, the warehouse carries tables and chairs, linen and chair covers, crockery, glassware, bain-maries, barbecues and cookers, heaters, drink coolers, fans, generators, plinths and helium balloons, so a whole backyard party can be sourced in one order. Delivery and set-up are part of the service, with weekend events usually delivered on Thursday or Friday and collected on Monday or Tuesday. Marquee and large bookings are secured with a 20 per cent deposit and the balance is paid before delivery. Smaller orders can be collected from the warehouse with a refundable bond from $50. Delivery reaches across Sydney, out to Richmond and up into the Blue Mountains.

What is the cheapest marquee to hire?
A 3.6m by 5.5m or 4.6m by 4.6m peg and pole marquee is $250, seating about 20. A 3m by 3m free-standing marquee is $252 on grass or $302.40 with weights, and B Grade white marquees start at $282 for 6m by 6m.
Can a marquee go on concrete or pavers?
Yes, the free-standing aluminium marquees can. They need no ropes or centre poles, and off grass they are held down with weights, which add 20 per cent to the price. Peg and pole marquees can only go on grass.
How much space does a peg and pole marquee need?
Allow the marquee footprint plus roughly two metres on every side for the ropes and pegs. The team can advise on the right size once they know your guest numbers and whether guests will be seated.
What deposit and cancellation terms apply?
Marquees and large functions need a 20 per cent non-refundable deposit, which can move to a later date if you cancel with more than two weeks' notice. Under two weeks half the total is payable, and under 48 hours the full amount.
Where do they deliver and when?
Across Sydney, including Richmond and the Blue Mountains, from the Penrith warehouse. For weekend events they usually deliver on Thursday or Friday and collect on Monday or Tuesday. Pick-up from the warehouse is also possible for smaller items.
