About Event Marquees Sydney
Event Marquees has been putting up marquees for Sydney events from its base in Freshwater on the Northern Beaches since 2006, and has since added depots in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. The range runs from small gazebos and 3m-wide frame marquees for a backyard or a caterer's tent, through clear and white roof pavilion structures, to Hampton tents with their peaked profile and dome marquees that can be branded inside and out. The structures can be weighted or pegged, so they go up on grass, tennis courts, decks, tiles, sand, driveways and even over a swimming pool. For parties, the team puts together marquee packs so you are not sourcing every piece separately. Typical combinations include a clear marquee with timber flooring, tables, folding chairs and a chandelier for a dinner party, or a marquee with festoon lights and a PA system with a microphone for something louder. Alongside the marquees they hire tables, crossback and folding chairs, rustic farm tables, pallet and wine barrel furniture, beer table sets, picket fencing, artificial hedges, umbrellas, outdoor heaters, dance floors and marquee lighting. Their crew delivers, installs, dismantles and removes everything, and set-ups run seven days a week. Quotes are built around the date, site, guest numbers and the pieces you need, and the team will recommend a marquee size and layout. Weddings are a large part of their work, from ceremony cover to reception pavilions, and they also handle corporate functions, festivals, exhibitions and council events.

What types of marquee can I hire?
Small gazebos and frame marquees from 3m wide, clear or white roof pavilion marquees, Hampton tents and dome marquees. Walls are optional and come in white or clear, and the domes can be branded.
Can a marquee go on paving or over a pool?
Yes. The marquees can be weighted down instead of pegged, so they suit decks, tiles, sand and driveways as well as grass. Wooden pool covers are available to turn a pool into usable floor space.
Do they have packages for a backyard party?
Yes. Party packs combine a marquee with flooring, tables and chairs, linen and lighting, and some add a PA system with a microphone. The packs are quoted to suit your guest numbers.
How much does marquee hire cost?
No prices are published. Send the event date, location, guest numbers and the items you want (marquee, flooring, furniture, lighting) and the team prepares a quote. Small marquee prices cover a hire of one to seven days.
Is set-up included, and which areas do they cover?
The crew handles delivery, installation, dismantling and removal. Their NSW base is in Freshwater, and they cover Sydney including the Northern Beaches and North Shore, plus the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley and Newcastle.
