About The Silent Rave
The Silent Rave is a silent disco hire and events company set up in 2014, with its Sydney base in Surry Hills and pickup or delivery points in Blacktown, Macquarie Park and Port Kembla. Guests wear closed-ear, noise-reducing wireless headsets tuned to the music, so a party can run late in a backyard, a hall or a public space without disturbing anyone. The team has supplied headsets to events including Sydney Festival and the Biennale of Sydney. For birthdays and weddings, the medium event pack starts at 48 headsets with a long-range transmitter, delivery and setup, a storage box and cables for your own device, and the team can liaise with the venue and your DJ or curate a playlist. A DJ is not included in that pack but can be added, with house and techno, dubstep and drum and bass, pop and kids, afro and dancehall or psytrance DJs available for two-hour sets with a booth and decks. Kids parties and vacation care hires use WWCC-approved DJs and entertainers who run games, hoops, circus play, bubbles and face painting. The walk and tour pack is built for hens groups: headsets, a custom playlist, an MC or character who leads the group through chosen locations, games and prizes. Corporate hire, team building, cinema audio, art installations and retreats are also offered. Equipment is charged with solar power, and the company encourages leave-no-trace events. Booking six to eight weeks ahead is recommended, and headsets must be returned at the end of the night.

How much does a silent disco from The Silent Rave cost?
The walk and tour pack with a one-hour MC starts at $480 for a small group. Kids party equipment hire starts at $555, birthday and wedding hire at $625 and corporate hire at $984.
Is a DJ included with the headsets?
Not in the equipment packs. You can play your own device, have the team curate a playlist, or add a DJ for a two-hour set in styles from house and techno to pop and kids music.
Where can I collect the equipment in Sydney?
There are pickup and delivery points in Blacktown and Macquarie Park, delivery from the Surry Hills address in the city, and a pickup point at Port Kembla near Wollongong.
Do they run kids parties?
Yes. Kids party and vacation care hires can include WWCC-approved DJs playing child-friendly music, entertainers running games and circus play, face painting and bubble machines.
What happens if a headset is lost?
Every headset goes back to the team when the party ends. You may be asked for ID or a deposit, and lost or broken headsets attract a replacement fee of $50 each.
