About Foodie del Mar
Foodie del Mar is a full-service catering and events company that began in Bondi and works from Randwick. It caters private celebrations, corporate functions and weddings, and its signature is the live food station: paella cooked and served from wide pans, a Mexican taco bar with chilli con carne, a yum cha bar stacked with bamboo steamers, a porchetta bar, and pasta tossed through a cacio e pepe cheese wheel. Other formats can be mixed in or used on their own. Long rustic grazing tables carry cheeses, cured meats, dips, fresh bread and fruit, with optional seafood such as king prawns and Sydney rock oysters. Canapés are passed around by the crew, shared feasts go to the table, and small VIP lunches or dinners for 8 to 24 guests run over three to five courses. Bespoke themed menus are designed for a brief, such as a festival spread, a Mediterranean islands feast, a Hong Kong tea house or a Diwali menu. A pastry chef handles desserts, a mixologist can run a cocktail bar, and trained staff look after service. For simpler events, the full menu can also be delivered as box platters for a buffet or as individual bowls. Dairy-free, nut-free, vegan and gluten-free guests are looked after, and serves on compostable and biodegradable ware. Corporate events run from 50 up to 500 people.
