The Attic is the bowling and arcade bar on the second level of Hornsby RSL Club. It is a boutique space rather than a big bowling centre: four 45-foot tenpin lanes fitted with an augmented reality system that projects graphics and games onto the lanes, a row of arcade machines, and a bar, lounge and dining area where groups can eat and drink between frames. Bowling is priced by the game and includes shoe hire. An adult game is $16 on weekdays and $18 on weekends, Friday evenings and school holidays, and two games cost less than two separate singles. Concession prices apply too. Arcade play uses prepaid credit bought from $10, with bonus credit on larger amounts, and credit stays valid for two years, which is handy for families who come back. For parties, The Attic runs kids' birthday packages that bundle games, entertainment and catering. It is also run as a function space by Events Hornsby, the club's events team, who can arrange private hire of the whole area for corporate gatherings, team-building outings and family celebrations, with packages tailored to the group. The club also has function rooms and a showroom if the bowling is one part of a bigger event. The Attic keeps shorter regular hours than the club, from mid-afternoon on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from midday on Fridays and in the evening on Saturdays, with longer hours in school holidays.
