About Allsail

Allsail is a sailing club, charter company and Australian Sailing training centre working from the Church Point ferry wharf on Pittwater's western shore. Alongside its courses, twilight racing and yachtshare memberships, it keeps a fleet of cruising yachts and catamarans that can be booked with a skipper for birthdays, hens and bucks days, family outings and work groups. The pick for a party is Tekin, a Seawind 1000 catamaran that Allsail describes as its budget party cat and that has been sailing Pittwater for more than two decades. With a skipper on board she takes up to 20 guests, with plenty of cockpit and deck room. Giddy Up, a Lightwave 38 performance catamaran, suits a smaller group of up to 12 who want more comfort, and carries a RIB tender for getting ashore. The club's 12-metre monohulls, including the Bavaria 40S Dancing Star, the Beneteau 39 The Frog and the Beneteau First 40 Leeward, take 10 to 15 guests for a proper sailing day, and the racing yachts can be booked for team-building race days. Skippered charters run for at least four hours, and a typical day starts with a briefing, then a sail or motor around Pittwater before dropping anchor at a spot like Towlers Bay, The Basin or Portuguese Beach for lunch, drinks and a swim. Longer trips can reach America Bay, Refuge Bay, Patonga or Cottage Point. Allsail does not cater, so groups bring their own food and alcohol, and the team can recommend local caterers. Stand-up paddleboards, lily pads and kayaks can be hired for some charters.

Pricing

Skippered charters on the party catamaran Tekin start at $1,990 for four hours for up to 20 guests, and Giddy Up starts at $2,100 for four hours for up to 12. The monohull yachts are also from $1,990 for four hours. Prices cover the boat, fuel and a qualified skipper; a deckhand or host, extra hours and evening charters cost more, and public holidays and peak holiday periods attract a surcharge.

Food

Allsail does not provide catering, so bring your own food or arrange a caterer, and the team can suggest local options. For larger groups it helps to pack disposable plates and cutlery, though some crockery, glassware and cutlery is on board depending on the boat.

Beverages

Drinks are BYO, alcohol included. The boats have refrigeration and space to keep drinks cold, and you can confirm cooling capacity, eskies and glassware for your chosen boat when booking.

Wharfs & Availability

Skippered charters start and finish at Allsail's base beside the Church Point ferry wharf on Pittwater, about 45 minutes' drive north of the Sydney CBD. Alternative pickup points can be discussed. The minimum charter length is four hours.
