About Orchid Avenue Event Hire
Orchid Avenue Event Hire is a small tableware and styling hire business in Mornington, run by locals Josh and Giorgia. The focus is on table details – the cutlery, serving pieces and accents that finish a wedding or event setting. Cutlery comes in three finishes: brushed brass, black with brass, and black gloss. Each is hired per guest as a five piece set (entree and main knives and forks, plus a butter knife) or a seven piece set that adds a main spoon and dessert spoon. A collection of individually sourced vintage silver serving ware is also available. For styling, there is a handcrafted travertine plinth – two are available – that works as a base for ceremony flowers, and a white pleated cake stand for a wedding or celebration cake. Items are hired for four days, Friday to Monday. Hires of $200 or more include free delivery and collection between Mount Eliza and Portsea, and cutlery and the cake stand can also be picked up from the Mornington warehouse. A refundable bond applies, and cutlery is simply rinsed and dried before it goes back.
