About Having A Party
Having A Party is a hire business based in Melbourne that has spent more than 20 years kitting out events with marquees and party gear, and the Mornington Peninsula is one of the areas it delivers to. The idea is that one team covers the marquee, furniture, lighting, flooring and catering equipment, so you are not juggling several suppliers. Marquees are the main business. The Pro-Matrix frame range starts with a 3 by 3 metre unit and extends to 6 metre widths reaching 70 metres in length, 12 metre spans and hexagonal modules, with seating for up to 400 in rows under the 12 by 43 metre quad hex. Pop-up marquees suit markets, sports days and smaller gatherings, and published charts give the capacity of each size. Inside, you can add linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware, carpet runners and dance floors, fans and heaters, service bars, umbrellas, white picket fencing, catering equipment, and tables with chairs in adult and kids' sizes. Lighting runs from chandeliers, paper lanterns, fairy lights and colour wash across the roof to a disco range of lasers, spots, mirror balls, smoke effects and bubble and snow machines. The crew delivers, sets up to your plan and collects afterwards, usually between 8am and 4pm Monday to Saturday, with out-of-hours runs possible by arrangement. Does Having A Party deliver to the Mornington Peninsula?
Yes. The company names the Mornington Peninsula as one of its delivery areas, and the crew installs your marquee and equipment there and comes back to collect it after the event.
How big are the marquees?
The smallest Pro-Matrix frame is 3 by 3 metres. Larger set-ups use 6 metre wide frames running as long as 70 metres, 12 metre spans or hex modules, and a 12 by 43 metre quad hex holds up to 400 seated guests.
Can we hire furniture and tableware too?
Yes. Alongside marquees you can book linen, crockery, glassware and cutlery, tables and chairs, service bars, umbrellas, heaters and fans, flooring and dance floors, so one order can cover the whole event.
Is setup included in the delivery?
Prices for delivery are worked out door to door at ground level. The crew sets up to your floor plan and returns to collect afterwards, and stairs or a carry longer than 20 metres from the truck can add to the cost.
Can we collect the gear ourselves?
Yes, by appointment. Pick-ups and warehouse visits are arranged ahead of time, so the order is ready and waiting when you arrive.
