About PLAYit Southgate
PLAYit is a family-owned games venue on Level M of the Southgate centre in Southbank, sitting above the riverfront promenade. Its PUTTit course is an indoor mini golf layout with colourful themed holes, and the rest of the floor is given over to arcade machines: driving games, basketball hoops, air hockey, claw cranes and Grid Rush, a light-up tiled floor game. Players load a PLAYit card at the kiosks or the counter, earn tickets on the games and swap them for prizes at the Prize Hub. General play needs no booking. A round of nine holes is $18 for adults and $12 for children, and every round comes with a free go on the claw machine in the putting zone. For an hour of arcade play instead of loading credit, the time-play option is $35 and adds claw attempts, a feature game and a capped ticket allowance. Parties and groups are priced per guest with a minimum of eight. Golf and Game, at $35 a head, gives 45 minutes in the arcade, a round of mini golf, three claw attempts, a feature game and 400 prize tickets each, plus a lanyard and a small plush for the guest of honour. The $45, $50 and $60 packages stretch the arcade time to an hour, add Grid Rush entry and more tickets, and include a kids meal from San Churro or Yassas in the same centre. PLAYit also takes bookings for school groups and work outings, and parties must be booked ahead. The venue is alcohol free and suits all ages, with children supervised by their adults, and Southgate has lift and escalator access and on-site parking.

How much does a party at PLAYit cost?
Packages are priced per guest with a minimum charge of eight. Golf and Game is $35, Compete and Sweet Treat is $45, Play, Eat, Compete is $50 and Hole in One Fun is $60, each including a round of mini golf plus arcade time.
How much is a round of mini golf without a package?
A nine-hole round of PUTTit mini golf costs $18 for adults and $12 for children, and each round includes one free play on the claw machine in the putting zone. No booking is needed for general play.
Is food included in the party packages?
The three higher packages include a kids meal from neighbouring Southgate eateries: churro fries and a shake from San Churro at $45, or a small or complete kids meal from Yassas at $50 and $60. The $35 package has no food.
Can adults drink alcohol at PLAYit?
No. PLAYit is an alcohol-free venue designed for families and all ages. There are plenty of restaurants elsewhere in Southgate if your group wants to eat or have a drink before or after playing.

It is upstairs on Level M (the mezzanine) of Southgate at 3 Southgate Avenue, Southbank, reached by lift or escalator. Southgate has on-site parking, and trams and Flinders Street Station are close by across the river.
