Clear allKarting in the inner west happens at BattleKart Melbourne, inside a 4,000 m² building at 50 McArthur St, West Footscray. There's no fixed circuit: projectors in the ceiling draw the track, bonus squares and hazards onto a 2,000 m² floor, and sensors in each electric kart respond to them.
How a game works:
No VR headset is involved – the game is projected onto the floor around you.

Two to ten per game. Groups smaller than ten may share the floor with other bookings, and the venue has a corporate events team for bigger team days.
Yes – 145 cm is the minimum height. Age itself isn't restricted, so a child who clears that mark can drive with the adults.
No. The karts have an anti-collision system, so drivers simply buckle the seatbelt. Wear casual clothes, as the karts kick up a little dust.
From $65 per person for the first 15-minute game, and each extra game is cheaper. Payment is by card only.
