About MANIAX Abbotsford

MANIAX Abbotsford is an axe throwing venue on Russell Street, between Gipps and Langridge Streets, with entrances from both Henry and Russell Streets. Inside there are five group lanes and six single lanes, and the space can host up to 90 throwers at once, so it works for a handful of mates as well as a whole office. Each visit opens with a safety briefing, then a MANIAX coach shows everyone how to throw, with a few different axes to try before the competitive rounds begin. For groups, the standard one-hour throw is $58 a head, while the Urban Viking package runs for two hosted hours at $68 a head with a seven-guest minimum. Bucks and hens groups have their own package at $62 a head, which adds a dedicated host once the group reaches 13. Odin's Team Challenge is a weekday team-building format, and larger events can step up to a drinks package or a catered feast. If you want the place to yourselves, a venue takeover gives you exclusive use with your own hosts, subject to a minimum spend. There is no kitchen at Abbotsford, but catering partners can supply a Viking-style feast as part of the larger group packages, and you may bring a birthday cake. The bar pours local craft beers and alcohol-free drinks, served only after everyone has finished throwing. Throwers need to be 11 or older, with an adult present for anyone under 18, and closed-toe shoes are required. Street parking is easy to find nearby, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible.

Had the best time!! We’re a family of 4, kids are 12 & 16 and it was a great family outing. Slightly chaotic when father and daughter started competing, but hilarious!! Definitely recommend!
