The day starts before dawn at Blaxland Inn on Broke Road, where Beyond Ballooning's pilots give a safety briefing before driving passengers to one of around 20 launch sites. The basket lifts off as the sun comes up, and the next 40 minutes to an hour are spent drifting over Pokolbin's vineyards and farmland.
