About Miss Mays Events
Miss Mays Events is wedding and event stylist Alice May and her team. Alice works closely with each couple to build a tablescape that suits them, from tablecloths and napkins to candles, glassware and floral centrepieces, and the team looks after every detail on the day so the tables are ready when guests walk in. Styling follows three steps. After an enquiry, couples receive a look-book of popular styles to browse. They then send through their own inspiration, whether that is a Pinterest board or a collage of photos, and Alice puts together mock-ups using the wide range of stock the business owns, keeping the couple involved as the look comes together. Food is part of the offer too. Miss Mays builds grazing tables for weddings, birthdays and corporate events, sized for anything from 50 to 300 guests, using cheeses, meats and produce from local suppliers, and the team handles set-up and clean-up. For smaller celebrations there are styled luxury picnics for bridal showers, hens parties, baby showers, birthdays and wine tour stops, at $55 per person including GST. Couples who would rather set up themselves can hire pieces from the same range, including wishing wells, silk backdrops, satin chair sashes, plates, cutlery and candles. The team works across the Hunter Valley, and styling quotes are prepared once they know the date, venue and look you have in mind.

Do they make grazing tables?
Yes. Grazing tables are built for 50 to 300 guests using produce from local suppliers, and the team sets up and clears away so you can stay with your guests.
How much is a luxury picnic?
A styled luxury picnic is $50 per person plus GST, which is $55 including GST. It covers picnic tables, rugs, cushions, dried or silk florals, table settings, set-up, pack-down and washing up.
Can we just hire items without full styling?
Yes. The hire range includes wishing wells, silk backdrops, satin sashes, tablecloths, plates, gold cutlery, glassware and candles, and DIY hire is welcome after an enquiry.
Are deposits refundable?
No. The terms say payments, including payment plan instalments, are non-refundable because the date is held for you, and stained, broken or lost items are charged.
