About Party Chameleon Hunter Valley

Party Chameleon is a mobile children's entertainment business whose Hunter team works out of Cessnock, taking parties in Cessnock, Maitland, Singleton, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. The entertainers come to whatever spot you pick, from a backyard or park to a community hall or function room, and they run the games and activities so parents can step back. Owner Jacinta Scherpenisse runs the business, every entertainer holds a Working With Children Check, and the company carries $20 million in public liability cover. Character parties are the core offer. A costumed fairy, pirate, princess, superhero or Frozen character arrives with music, face painting and balloon sculpting, and the longer packages add games, cake time and group photos. One entertainer looks after up to 15 children and two cover up to 30, in sessions of one and a half to two and a half hours. There is also a weekday wake-up visit, where a character helps the birthday child with breakfast and getting ready for school or daycare. Male and mascot characters such as Spider-Man or Elmo can only join as a second entertainer alongside a female lead character. Other formats suit different ages. Games parties run team races, sack and three-legged races, parachute games and limbo, with a balloon sculpture for every child. Disco parties bring a DJ with a speaker, disco lights, a smoke machine, dance games and glow sticks, and suit a late afternoon start. The magic party features an interactive magician whose show includes one or two animals, with a bunny to pat at the end, and is aimed at children aged three to eight. Weekend parties usually fill a morning or afternoon slot, with discos after 5pm. Corporate and community events, school discos and holiday characters such as Santa or the Easter Bunny are quoted on enquiry.
