Cocktail Classes in Gosford & Erina

Getting Cocktail Classes Right in Gosford & Erina

Look just east of Gosford, to Erina, for this region's cocktail class. Distillery Botanica, on Portsmouth Road in Erina, runs a hands-on class inside a craft distillery set among three acres of planted gardens, a very different backdrop to a bar in town.

Groups from across the region use it for work events, birthdays and Christmas parties, because the class can be built into a private package with food and drinks around it.

Why groups across the region head to Erina for it:

A garden and distillery setting rather than a shopfront bar, with indoor and outdoor spaces
Three signature cocktails made by every guest, covering technique, balance and garnish
Tailored packages for work functions, which can bring in catering and styling
Free parking on site at 25 Portsmouth Road
Prices starting from $45 per person

If part of the group would rather taste than mix, the same grounds also offer a guided garden walk, hosted tastings and a hands-on spirit-making workshop.

Team days – a hands-on class gives colleagues who rarely work together something to make side by side
Christmas parties – the class can be the centrepiece, with grazing boards, catering and drinks arranged around it
Inclusive bookings – mocktail versions can be arranged up front for staff who don't drink
Accessibility – the tasting room and most garden paths are wheelchair friendly

Other ways to use the distillery

Garden and Distillery Tour – starts with a gin and tonic and finishes with a guided tasting of the range
Distill Your Own – runs on weekends, takes about two hours and ends with a bottle of gin or vodka you labelled yourself
Drop-in tastings – available from Wednesday to Sunday, with cheese and cracker platters as an add-on
Bar Botanica – light meals from the separately run cafe on site
