About AMPT DJ Australia
AMPT DJ Australia, also known as DJ Amped, is a one-person DJ business based in Tarrawanna in Wollongong's northern suburbs. The person you plan with is the person behind the decks, and that direct contact is the core of how bookings work, from the first conversation through to the last song. The style is open format. Rather than locking in a fixed playlist, the DJ talks through your guests, the songs you love, the ones to avoid and the feel you want for each part of the night, then prepares a direction that can shift with the crowd. For weddings, that covers the entrance, first dance and the build of the dance floor, with the option of ceremony music too. Birthdays from 18ths to 80ths, anniversaries and other private parties are planned the same way, with lighting discussed for your event rather than added as a standard extra. The business also plays corporate functions, university events, hotels, pubs and clubs, where the music might need to sit in the background during presentations and lift later on. An online quote builder asks for the event type, times, guest numbers and setting and gives an estimate before you enquire. DJ lessons are also offered from the Tarrawanna studio.

Frequently asked questions
Who will actually DJ our event?
The same person you plan with. AMPT DJ Australia is a one-DJ business, so there is a single point of contact from the first enquiry to the night itself.
Can we give a list of songs to play and avoid?
Yes. Planning covers must-play songs, do-not-play songs, important moments and the overall feel you want, which shapes a flexible plan rather than a rigid playlist.
How do we get a price?
The website has a quote builder that asks about the occasion, times, guest numbers and setting, then gives an estimate. An enquiry confirms availability before anything is booked.
Is lighting available?
Yes. Party lighting can be added, and the set-up, music and lighting are discussed for each event rather than included by default in a fixed package.
Does the DJ travel beyond Wollongong?
Wollongong and the Illawarra are local, and the DJ also takes suitable bookings further afield. Travel time is included in the quote builder.
