About Pro Sound and Lighting
Pro Sound and Lighting is an audio visual business with a retail showroom on Auburn Street in Wollongong. Alongside selling DJ, studio and lighting equipment, it runs a hire department for parties and events, and a production team that handles sound, lighting and vision for venues, conferences and live shows. For private parties, the easiest place to start is the packages. Speaker packages pair quality powered speakers from brands such as EV, JBL or QSC with stands for a house party, while larger PA packages suit corporate speeches or a full dance floor. Lighting packages build from a gentle coloured wash to haze, moving lights and UV, and there are party bundles that combine sound and lights in one booking. You can also add single items such as uplights, mirror balls, smoke machines, confetti and bubble machines, curtains and portable power. The team also runs themed nights: a glow party set with lit cocktail tables and a glowing bar, an 80s lighting package, and a foam party with the cannon and an operator. For larger functions, technicians deliver, set up and operate the gear, and they have worked graduation ceremonies, conferences, product launches and carols events. Hire is booked by date and length, with options from one night to a week, and cancellations are free up to 14 days out.

How long is a standard hire?
Hire packages are booked by date and length, with options of one night, two to three nights or a full week. Longer hires cost more than the one-night starting price.
Can they deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes. Delivery and operation are offered for larger events, and the production team can supply technicians to run sound and lighting on the night.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancelling 14 days or more before the hire costs nothing. Inside that window a sliding fee applies, rising to the full amount within 24 hours of the hire.
Do they have lighting as well as speakers?
Yes. Lighting packages cover uplighting, disco effects, UV glow and moving lights, and many include haze. They can be added to a speaker package in the same booking.
Can they supply a DJ?
The business takes DJ booking enquiries through its website alongside equipment hire, so you can ask for a DJ when you book the gear.
