About Chic Chevs
Chic Chevs is a small family-owned hire business in Hillsborough with two classic cars: a pair of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air super-stretch limousines, rebuilt inside and out. One is finished in red with a pearl fleck that shows up in the sun and runs a 454 V8. The other is a traditional white that brides often choose, with a 383 V8 that can be driven quietly or with the exhaust opened up for an arrival everyone hears. Both cars seat eight passengers in the back on black leather, or nine if one person rides in front with the driver. Inside each there is a floor and ceiling that change colour, a lit bar with an icebox, a sound system you control from your phone, and air conditioning for hot days. The rear doors on one side are extra large, so a bride in a full dress can get in and out without crushing it. Bookings of three hours or longer include a drinks package of champagne, beer and bottled water. White ribbons are supplied for weddings, each car carries large golf umbrellas big enough for the bridal party, and a child booster seat can be provided. Children must be at least three years old to ride. The cars are booked for weddings, school formals, birthdays, anniversaries, dinner drop-offs, winery trips, Christmas parties and promotional events. Hens and bucks parties are not taken. The office is open Monday to Saturday, and gift vouchers are available.

No. The cars are hired for weddings, formals, birthdays, anniversaries, dinner drop-offs, winery trips, Christmas parties and promotional events, but not hens or bucks groups.
Will a big wedding dress fit?
Yes. Both limousines have an oversized rear door on one side, so a bride in a full gown can get in and out without damaging the dress.
