Clear allOn the Peninsula, getting people around is often the hardest part of an event to plan. Wineries, beach towns and bayside venues are spread along long, winding roads, public transport thins out south of Frankston, and taxis or ride-shares can be scarce late at night in the hinterland.
That's why groups here book their own vehicle. The list is small so far – five operators – and between them they cover wine tours, wedding cars, limousines and party buses, with several running more than one kind of vehicle.
Before you pick an operator, work through these:
Summer and school-holiday weekends are the busiest on the Peninsula, and the same few vehicles are wanted for weddings and winery days at once. Send your date, numbers and route to a couple of operators and weigh up what comes back – each operator sets its own price, and nothing extra is charged for using Party Hero.

So far the list covers winery tours, chauffeured wedding cars, stretch limousines and party buses. It's a short list for now, and several operators run more than one type of vehicle, so check each listing for the full fleet.
Around Frankston and Mornington it's usually workable, but further south and up in the wine hinterland cars can be hard to find late in the evening. A booked vehicle with a set pick-up time is the safer plan for a group.
Many will, though the travel time is usually built into the hire. Ask for a quote with and without the Melbourne leg so you can see the difference.
For a Saturday in summer, around the school holidays or in the main wedding season, enquire as soon as your date is fixed. Weekdays and winter dates are generally easier to secure.
That's up to each operator and vehicle, and some have conditions such as no glass or no spirits. Ask before the day rather than assuming.
Most operators work on an hourly rate with a minimum hire, while winery tours are often quoted per person or as a private charter. Compare what's included, such as tastings, waiting time and travel to the first pick-up.
Give the date, number of passengers, each pick-up and drop-off point and rough times. The more complete the route, the more accurate the quote.
