About Col Cameron
Col Cameron is a Melbourne master of ceremonies who has spent more than 30 years hosting conferences, incentive programs, gala dinners and special events. His clients come from banking, transport, travel, sport, tourism, healthcare, construction, fashion, councils and the not-for-profit world. He works from an office in Port Melbourne and travels to venues throughout the city. His style grew out of roving entertainment, stand-up comedy and improv, so he reads a crowd quickly and adapts on the spot. On the day he welcomes guests, introduces speakers, keeps the running order on track and makes sure the main messages stick with the audience. When a presenter wraps up early, transport runs late or the AV crew needs a few extra minutes, he fills the gap with something engaging rather than letting the room go flat. Bringing in an independent MC also lets the leadership team spend the event with clients and staff instead of watching the clock. Hosting is only part of it. Col runs ice breakers, brain teasers, construction challenges and bespoke quizzes that get delegates mixing early in a conference, sometimes with simple props and sometimes with nothing but the people in the room. He also hosts product launches and expo segments, moderates panels, MCs charity fundraisers, delivers training and voice overs, and records pre-event videos to build anticipation before guests arrive.
