Escape Room Options Across Inner West

How Escape Rooms Actually Work

Three puzzle rooms tucked into Strike Bowling Highpoint give the Inner West a choice of difficulty under one roof. Each takes two to six players, so a bigger group can book more than one and race the other team, all inside the Highpoint entertainment precinct at 120-200 Rosamond Road, Maribyrnong.

The three rooms, easiest first:

  • Da Vinci: the entry-level room, for ages 8 and up, built around decoder sheets, lighting patterns and dates from the inventor's life.
  • Injustice: rated medium, for ages 14 and over with adult supervision, with the team cast as prisoners breaking out of a high-security compound.
  • Forensic: the pro room, for ages 15 and over, a crime-scene investigation using lasers, codes and evidence left by a killer.
  • Team size: two to six players in each room.
  • Afterwards: a cocktail bar, kitchen, bowling lanes and laser tag in the same venue.

Pick the room by the youngest and least experienced player – Da Vinci for a family group, Forensic for a crew that has done a few escape games before. Prices start from $22 per person.

Choosing the right puzzle

  • First-timers and families with younger kids belong in Da Vinci, the room open from age 8.
  • Teenagers aged 14 and over can try Injustice, provided an adult is supervising.
  • Forensic rewards groups who enjoy codes and lasers and are all 15 or older.
  • Groups of more than six split across rooms and compare results at the bar.

Turning a puzzle into a party

  • Strike's adult party packages need at least eight guests, so a puzzle crew can add bowling, food and drinks.
  • Laser tag and karaoke rooms are on site for anyone who would rather not solve puzzles.
  • Kids parties need ten or more guests.
  • Late sessions are adults-only with ID: the under-18 cut-off is 9pm Sunday to Thursday, 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
