About Melbourne Party Hire Co
Melbourne Party Hire Co is a family-founded hire company working out of a warehouse in Oakleigh. Founders Chris and Nicci set it up to be a single stop for party equipment, and after more than 20 years the range covers over 200 product lines. Seating is the heart of it, with more than 70 chair styles alongside trestle, banquet and bar tables, velvet ottomans, rattan lounges, wire cocktail furniture and matching table linen. For something brighter there is glow furniture in 16 colours – bars, cubes, benches and cocktail tables. Pop-up marquees come in 3x3 m, 3x6 m and 4x8 m sizes, with or without walls, and larger framed marquees can be built to size. Mushroom, pyramid and area heaters keep winter parties warm. The sound and visual side includes powered speakers, a DIY party sound pack with stands, microphones, lighting and effect machines, projectors and screens, staging and lecterns. Drape backdrops, styling props, bollards, slushie and popcorn machines, fairy floss and chocolate fountains fill out the list, along with a kids' party range. Deliveries run seven days a week between 8am and 4pm, with items left in one neat stack at ground level unless set-up has been arranged. Marquees are always put up by the team, and furniture can be laid out to a floor plan for a labour fee. Some items can be collected from the Oakleigh warehouse on weekdays to save on delivery. Pop-up marquees start at $195 for 3x3 m and run to $530 for a walled 4x8 m, while a 12-inch powered speaker is $70 and the DIY party sound pack $140. Delivery is quoted on location, quantity and access.
Equipment & Service Details
Delivery runs 8am–4pm seven days, with items left at ground level unless set-up is booked; stairs, long carries and out-of-hours times cost extra. Marquees are always installed by the team.
An adult must sign the hire contract on delivery. Weekday warehouse pick-up in Oakleigh is available for some items.

Yes. Melbourne Party Hire Co installs every marquee itself so it is pitched safely and correctly, whether it is a pop-up or a larger framed structure.
What does the cheapest marquee cost?
The 3x3 m pop-up marquee is listed at $195, with walls adding to that. A 3x6 m pop-up is $295 and a 4x8 m pop-up is $450.
Can furniture be set out for me?
It can. Standard delivery leaves items stacked at ground level, but for a wedding you can supply a floor plan and the crew will set up to it for a labour fee.
Can I pick up the hire myself?
Some items can be collected from the Oakleigh warehouse by prior arrangement, weekdays between 10am and 4pm. You'll need a suitable vehicle, blankets and straps.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancelling 48 hours or more before the hire date gives a 50% refund; inside 48 hours there is no refund.
