It started out as Perfectly Queer and took on the PQ Talent name after hearing how the original word landed with different people. The roster covers drag queens and drag kings, event hosts and MCs, DJs who play in or out of drag, musicians and a drag queen marriage celebrant. For hens nights, bucks parties and birthdays, the agency sells set packages. The shortest runs 30 minutes with one host and a themed game, while the longer options stretch to 90 or 120 minutes with up to three performances, four games, audience interaction and photos with the talent. Two-performer versions suit bigger groups, and AV equipment comes along when the venue needs it. Corporate bookings follow the same shape – 60, 90 or 120 minutes with one or two hosts – and are quoted for conferences, team celebrations and brand activations. The founder, Aza Coward, performs as Della Katessen and built a following through online drag trivia and bingo, so game-show style hosting sits at the heart of what the team does, alongside bingo, trivia and karaoke formats. Prices are listed before GST, and travel beyond the Melbourne CBD is charged by the minute each way. Bookings inside 30 days are paid in full; further out, a 50% deposit holds the date. Party packages for hens, bucks and birthdays are listed from $400 plus GST for a 30-minute single-host booking, $475 for 45 minutes, $500–$1,000 for an hour, $650–$1,300 for 90 minutes and $800–$1,600 for two hours, depending on one or two performers. Corporate packages and DJs are quoted. Travel beyond the CBD adds $1.35 a minute in each direction.

How do I secure a booking?

Events within 30 days need full payment to confirm. For dates further away, a 50% non-refundable deposit holds the booking and the balance is due 14 days before the event. The first reschedule costs nothing extra.

Can a drag queen officiate our wedding?

Yes. Della Katessen is a drag queen marriage celebrant who can run the ceremony. Celebrant bookings take a 25% booking fee within 7 days of the first meeting, with the balance due 30 days before the wedding.
